Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Encore Influence operates the Encore Influence website and the Encore Creator Discovery Engine (the “Service”). The Encore Creator Discovery Engine is an internal creator discovery and campaign research tool used primarily by the Encore Influence campaign and creator marketing team.

This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, access, process, store, use, disclose and delete in connection with the Service. The Encore Creator Discovery Engine uses YouTube API Services, specifically the YouTube Data API v3.

2. Information We Access

The Service uses an API key to make read-only requests to the YouTube Data API v3. Current operations use the channels.list, playlistItems.list and videos.list endpoints.

Depending on availability in the YouTube API response, the public channel and video metadata we access may include:

• Channel ID, channel title or name, channel description and country when available.
• Public subscriber count, public total view count and public video count.
• Channel and video thumbnails.
• Public video IDs, titles, descriptions, publication dates and durations.
• Public video view counts, like counts and comment counts.

We currently do not use YouTube OAuth to access Authorized Data. We do not request or store YouTube passwords or login credentials. We do not access private YouTube account information.

The Service does not upload videos, post comments, manage subscriptions or modify channels or other YouTube resources.

3. How We Use YouTube API Data

We use publicly available YouTube channel and video metadata for creator discovery, campaign research, creator relevance evaluation, content and category analysis, campaign suitability assessment and internal campaign planning.

The Service is not a substitute for YouTube and does not reproduce YouTube’s core user experience. It supports Encore Influence’s internal research and professional-services workflow.

4. AI and Derived Assessments

Encore Influence may generate internal campaign suitability assessments, classifications, summaries or scores in connection with publicly available creator and video metadata.

These assessments are independently generated by Encore Influence and are not metrics, ratings, endorsements or recommendations provided by YouTube.

We do not represent that YouTube or Google has approved any additional metrics, derived data or extended storage. Any such functionality is subject to the applicable YouTube API Services policies and any permission required by YouTube.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Internal systems may temporarily cache limited YouTube API Data where necessary for campaign research and operation of the Service.

YouTube API Data is retained only as necessary for the operation of the Service and is deleted or refreshed in accordance with the applicable YouTube API Services policies, including applicable 30-day refresh or deletion requirements. We do not state or assume that YouTube API Data may be stored indefinitely.

6. Sharing of Information

YouTube API Data is used primarily by the Encore Influence internal team. We do not sell YouTube API Data.

Information may be processed by service providers only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide infrastructure, hosting, security or other business services to us, and subject to appropriate obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Service.

YouTube and Google are not partners, affiliates or endorsers of Encore Influence or the Service.

7. Cookies and Technical Information

The public Encore Influence website uses a locale preference cookie when a visitor selects a language. It may also use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization and Vercel Analytics when those optional services are enabled. Our hosting and security providers may process basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested URL, timestamps and error or security events.

The Encore Creator Discovery Engine does not use cookies to obtain YouTube account authorization, and it currently does not offer YouTube or Google sign-in.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect YouTube API Data and other business information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. User and Data Requests

Where applicable, requests to access or delete information held by Encore Influence may be sent to leo@encoreinfluence.com. Deletion from our systems does not delete the original information from YouTube.

Because the current Service does not use YouTube OAuth or Authorized Data, there is no YouTube authorization to revoke in the Service. If future versions use Google or YouTube account authorization, users will be provided with the applicable controls and revocation mechanisms required by YouTube and Google policies.

10. YouTube and Google Policies

Encore Creator Discovery Engine uses YouTube API Services.

Use of YouTube API Services is also subject to the applicable YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Developer Policies. You may also review the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, legal requirements or applicable platform policies. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate additional notice where required.
